I create and manage two monthly newsletters using Sendgrid, one that goes out to event organizers, and one that goes to event attendees.
Newsletter to event organizers
Since my start at Events.com in 2022, I have grown the newsletter subscriber base from 15,000 to 35,000 and led a complete redesign in SendGrid, collaborating with designers and developers. It now includes enhanced content like product updates, industry news, tips, and upcoming events, improving engagement and value for recipients. I send these out monthly to our growing database of event organizers to keep them informed. In the year 2024, the open rate increased by 46%.

Newsletter to event attendees
I created and launched a newsletter in February 2024 that goes to 164,000 event attendees with a list of events in the San Diego area. I curate the list of events and work with event organizers and clients on copy and images. The open rate for 2024 increased 16% over the year and is currently 51.81%.
Social Media
Managing Events.com social media channels and content strategy has been incredibly fun. I have been able to hire photographers to send all over the country for amazing events, manage all blog content, consult with festival owners on their social media strategy, and create short form videos for TikTok and Reels. Below are some examples from my favorite events. From decisions out of my control, there is a pause on social media efforts, so there are no projects to show from late 2023 to 2025.
Wonderfront Music and Arts Festival
Events.com is a sponsor and investor in Wonderfront Festival in San Diego, CA. I did an Instagram takeover for the weekend, hired professional photographers and videographers for in-house content, and created this short-form recap video.
Taste of Little Italy
My team and I attended this local event with two photographers to capture our onsite check-in hardware and app. The goal of this video was to showcase how our technology facilitates wonderful experiences you can have in your own backyard.

The goal of this video was to become a part of the conversation in San Diego’s local music and events scene. Events.com has a product that has a goal of being the destination for attendees to find events in their area.
